The Prime ministers of Serbia and Kosovo have agreed in Brussels for the next steps for the electoral process in problematic areas in north Mitrovica. This was confirmed by the mediator of the European Union miss, Catherine Ashton at the end of next round of dialogue in Brussels.
“We had a very good talk and saw that there will be good progress in addressing the remainder of the electoral process. Certainly the details of this process will be Pristine, “said Ashton. According to the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, the elections in north Kosovo expected to be held before the second round of local elections, to be held on December 1. It was a common conclusion and the successful elections of 3 November have legitimized the agreement that was reached in Brussels.On first of December we will have the new leaders and in northern Kosovo and the government of Republic of Kosovo will cooperate to make the lives of our citizens much better, “said Thaci.
While the Prime Minister of Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic urged the Kosovo Serbs to have a fair elections in northern country and not to play with the fate of Serbia to join the European Union, which depends on the implementation of the Agreement of April. The next round of the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia is expected to be held on December 5, after the second round of local elections in Kosovo.
